Backup Policy
1. Purpose
This Backup Policy outlines the responsibilities of Grameen Cybernet Ltd. and its customers regarding the backup of data hosted on the Company’s mail servers, hostings, and data center infrastructure.
2. Company Backup Practices
Grameen Cybernet Ltd. implements reasonable system-level backup procedures for infrastructure resilience and disaster recovery purposes, in accordance with our internal operational standards. These backups are intended to support platform continuity and are not a substitute for customer-managed data backups.
3. Customer Responsibility for Email and Data Backup
When emails and websites are stored on the server, it is the customer’s responsibility to maintain an independent backup of important data.
Grameen Cybernet Ltd. strongly recommends that Customers regularly download, export, or otherwise back up critical emails, website files, databases, and other important data to an independent location outside of the Company’s infrastructure. The Company shall not be held liable for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of data resulting from server failure, storage crash, service disruption, account suspension, cyberattack, malware infection, human error, fire or any other natural disaster, where the Customer has not maintained an independent backup.

6. Data Retention After Account Termination
Following suspension or termination of service, data (including website files & emails) may be permanently deleted any time after failure to renew the services after 36 days of expiration. Customers must ensure all necessary backups are completed prior to termination.
7. Policy Review
Grameen Cybernet Ltd. may review and amend this Backup Policy periodically. Customers are encouraged to review this Policy regularly to stay informed of their backup responsibilities.
